About Richard

I’m a certified guide with a passion for bringing history, archaeology, and the Bible to life — especially in a city as layered and meaningful as Jerusalem. I’ve lived here since 2018, exploring its streets, tunnels, and viewpoints, and helping visitors connect what they see with the world of the Scriptures and the ancient Near East.

My background blends hands-on guiding experience with strong academic training. I’m certified in Biblical Archaeology: The Archaeology of Ancient Israel and Judah under Professor Aren Maeir (Bar-Ilan University), The Tabernacle in Word & Image through the University of Pennsylvania, and Pyramids of Giza: Ancient Egyptian Art and Archaeology with Harvard University’s Professor Peter Der Manuelian.
I also hold an Advanced Tour Guiding Skills certification under Professor Hossam Hammad (Certificate #uc-1a5ec9-f274-4160-8555).

Before moving to Israel, I spent five years leading guided visits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and also conducted guided experiences at the Penn Museum of Archaeology in Philadelphia — sharing the stories behind some of the world’s most fascinating discoveries.

Having lived in South America for seven years, and being fluent in English and Spanish, I enjoy connecting with visitors from diverse backgrounds and making history accessible and engaging for everyone.
